Bargain Shopping

So with the economy the way it is, its really hard to just go shopping. Plus living in the small(er) town of Payson its hard to go shopping anyways! If you need to get some new clothes usually you go down to Phoenix and do a whole shopping day and hope you find some good deals.

Lately though between time and money that’s not an option. What does a girl do? After all we have get some shopping in sometimes, and no, grocery shopping doesn’t count. Well I’ve discovered recently that thrift stores and yard sales are terrific ways to satisfy the shopping urge.

You can find some great treasures for just a few dollars. Last week I went to some thrift stores and found some great binders and stuff for my office that I’m already using. Haven’t you heard, one mans junk is another mans treasure?

Heck I was even reading today about the word “Thrifting”, so I had to look it up what it means exactly.  Wikipedia says that its “the act of shopping at a thrift store, flea market, garage sale, or a shop of a charitable organization, usually with the intent of finding interesting items at a cheap price.”

So today I have the urge to go shopping and find some more treasures. We have 6 thrift stores in our small town and I’m going to hit all of them.  Maybe tomorrow I’ll be able to go yard saleing.  I’m actually pretty excited over it. (how pathetic is that!) lol

I have a good feeling today I’m going to find alot of great bargains… wish me luck.

I love hitting the thrift shops… You can also take it to a new level with the designer consignment shops. All someone elses “name brand” leftovers… fun stuff. Dont forget the cute shops up in Pine!
